Serenity
The darkness that corrodes the heart
Is like a chocolate-covered strawberry.
It’s filled with a sweetness that cannot be found,
Until the bitterness melts from the sides.
The vibrant colors that sing a song
When the sky opens up and cries,
Dances throughout the humid air
When it kisses the sun goodbye.
The moon that glistens in the night
Is like a miniature flashlight.
It leads the way when all is lost
And keeps the creatures calm.
