All I Have Left
I wish I didn't have to remember
because the memories are so harsh.
 Brought me so much pleasure,
I rewind them to the start.
Your hot skin, momentarily, bringing me alive.
I breathe in your scent, your hand shaking ever so slightly,
as it caresses the nape of my neck,
and pulls me in tight, so I swallow,
and I risk, being poisoned by your lips.
Ah, yes poison it is, so addicting though
getting me dizzy with the pressure, yet gentleness,
the retrain, yet the eagerness, all underneath,
making me stand up on my tippy toes
 my back against the wall,
surrounded by the darkness, though I know exactly where we are..
Hoping it was just my imagination
 running wild again
as I picture us saying goodbye for good, as you look over your shoulder to another ...
so my heart can get confused
 between the yearning of reality
 & the sweetness of dreams.
