Expectations from unknown creatures lurking in the shadows, thinking they are dancing in the sunshine.

Delicately dance across shattered hearts. You don’t want shards of glass splintered into your dance shoes. Expect nothing less if you decide to tromp through someone else’s meadow. You don’t know the storm attacking their once calm, flower filled field.

Take note, unknown creatures. Knock your pride down or stay home. Dance alone. They don’t need you adding to their brokenness.

My heart is already shattered; must you dance on my grave too?

The author's comments:
Poetry is how I deal with anger, especially toward people who think they are important to you when they really don't even know you. Instead of causing drama about something so trite, I wrote this piece as a way to deal with that anger. Anger isn't a bad thing, art and creativity flow best when emotions are high.
