When you see the sea,
Then there is me.
Salt,
And sand,
And sun,
And free.
The turbulent tempest,
The wafting waves,
All are my whispers
All are my days.
The surreal surf
The tenacious tide
The crests are my words
The crash, my cries.

The author's comments:
I don’t live near the ocean, but I love to visit it. I’ve got this sort of sea-bound, estival spirit within me and I feel this poem really embodies the warm breezes and the tang of salt that encompass the sea.
