A damp, cold, scent saturates the room
Silence

His eyes remain focused and unchanged
Thought,

The clouds cast a temporary shadow on the photos
Remorse,

His baseball from his youth lies menacingly in the corner
Dread,

The rocking chair sways in a disturbed tone
Regret,

His hands grasp the elderly seat
Disappointment,

An arctic breeze captures the photos
Fear,

His ring of hers catapults violently into the end
Anxiety,

A furious storm thrusts the baseball into the past
Chaos,

His heart leaves his ancient corpse
Death,

A damp, cold, scent saturates the room
Silence…

I don't like how the flow is broken up with the individual emotions, you know? but on the other hand I love the circular way it flows and I like how I get the whole idea and story with the last words. real interesting, I just wish the flow was smoother

If all else perished and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.

I don't know what to say... this poem is so real and so sad.
