I smile when I picture your face,
laughing at a joke,
talking with your friends,
reading a book,
acing a test
I smile when you are here,
walking, running,
alive and well
having fun
I smile most when we are together,
when I cry or laugh
talk or sit in companionable silence,
when I can be myself.
