I Was Your Friend
I see her sometimes.
She stands in front of the closet.
She wears white.
I only see her when I cry or when it's completely dark in my room.
She doesn't say anything.
She just looks at me,with red tears coming down her face.
I don't say anything to her.
She doesn't say anything to me.
We just stare at each other.
If I try to move towards her,
her tears fall faster.
I stay there, looking into her sad dull eyes.
I stare at her features.
Her white clothes are covered in crimson red spots.
Her arms at her sides and her fingertips had something dripping off of them.
Blood?
"You're covered in blood..." I said looking into her sorrow filled eyes.
She smiled and nodded.
I was startled and asked "Why?"
She lifted up her arm, pointing at me shaking.
"Me?"
She nodded again.
"Why me? What'd I do?"
Her tears became thicker as she showed me her forearm.
Cuts.........
"I did that to you?" She nodded again.
"I've never met you....right?"
She shook her head and I heard a voice say,
'I'm always with you. Following you. I'm your friend. Remember?'
She never spoke though. I just heard the voice.
I looked at her closer seeing she had a scar on the front of her ankle......like me.
I looked at her face again and began to tremble, feeling tears swell up into my eyes.
She smiled and her tears weren't red anymore.
"I'm y-you.....and you're m-m-me?"
She nodded and she just disappeared. Gone.
Leaving me in the dark, the walls were whispering.
'I was your friend.......'
