Does The World Say?
Does the world say that the dog and cat cannot play together?
Does the world say that love will always find a way?
Does the world say that it is not good to a white feather?
I do not think the world really has any say.
If the world told the mouse,
"You cannot eat that cheese."
What would become of his house?
That would be the mouse's destiny.
But the thing most amazing,
About the world so true,
Is that, not by simply outright stating
But it leads our lives with us having no clue.
The world's magnetic fields,
Bring the compasses close together.
And the knights of old to raise their shields,
And charge bravely through the fern and heather.
Oh, the places the world will lead you,
Oh, the things you will see,
Most likely nothing you will rue,
But I am a different story.
