There is a Fire
There is a will in me that will never go away
But there is a fire in me that is so much more.
This fire is the light that surrounds me in the darkness-
It is the light that makes glass break and owls cry.
The fire is like the sun but it is so much brighter; so much hotter
It’s like someone put gasoline on a lit match.
Without this fire what would I be?
Without my will that I can do anything where would I be?
Under normal circumstances my mind is not as it is now
But something was awoken inside me today
It was something that’s been lost for a while-
It was the part of my broken soul that surfaced when I needed someone there for me.
People say that hope and will they will always break you down
They say it’s a hopeless journey to try something on your own
But in the end;
“Is there a life if you can’t try to live your own?”
So ask yourselves today, tonight, or tomorrow
Ask yourselves if there is hope out there
Ask yourselves if you will take the next step
Cause’ if you don’t then where is your life in the end?
(Where is the fire in you?)
