Skydreamer

Puffy white clouds drifted across the sky
I watched them
Staring until my eyes close
My hands curl around pockets in the soft moss
I breathed in the scent of pine trees
Opening my eyes, a dark shadow covers me
The trees looming overhead
Bright rays of light stream through the cracks in the large oak’s canopy
Blinding me in a paralyzing moment of beauty
White tufts form swirls of patterns
They dance until my eyes can see no more
A wave of darkness like a blanket
Wraps around my shoulders
And the Skydreamer
Watches gleaming lights twinkle until her dreams succumb
And she sinks into the ground
Her dreams carrying her to another world
Another place
That I cant even imagine

holy crap. this poem is beautiful in every way. the descriptive terms are genius, the imagery is sound and solid, the poem flows unlike so many other freeverse poems on here, and the poem contains just enough of fantasy and allure to make the reader ponder on it for hours if not days to come if they so choose. 5 million/5

Beautiful poem, I can imagine myself there. I've said this about everything else of yours I've read, but still, this is awesome :)
