Favorite Quote:
"I'm too imaginative for my own good."

Under the ground what can I see
I see the feet of strangers
I see the roots of all things
I am the ground

I see the terrible things done to me
to the trees
to the people
all above me

I cry everyday
but not for me
why would I cry for myself
I am the lowest
the weakest
I am just earth

I cry for the plants that hold to me
they scream for my help when
they are pulled from me

I cry for the water that sinks into me
how they wish and dream
wish and dream for the sky above

Who?
Who would want to be the ground
I am nothing
the plants stick to me
but they are not me
they are better than me
the water does not wish to be with me
who would wish to be with me
who would wish to be me

I am happy to be me
I am happy to take the unwanted place
Want am I
I am the lowest
“Humble.”
they say
I am not humble only earth
I am the lowest

I am here
I am underneath
I am the lowest
I am the earth
I see all

I was thinking about what it would be like to be the earth. The earth let's humans and animals walk on it, but has anyone ever thought about what it would be like to be the ground we walk on?
