Pain:
At the start of the day,
All you feel is pain,
The pain of all those who suffered and died.
You wish that they would leave,
That you wouldn’t believe
In those who haunt your sleep.
The pain of the past,
The sins of today,
Burden the soul with a very heavy weight.
You can try to evade it,
Try to ignore it,
But to find what hurts most you must look inside,
Inside your own essence,
Inside your own being.
The only way to be free,
To be completely free,
Is to lie down and succumb
To the bottomless depths of eternal sleep.
