Kismet
Is a nice word,
It finishes on a strong, short, ‘szmit’
That belies more than a portion
Of the destiny that surrounds it,
And the game the fates play.
Kiss the temptress goodbye, for you are made for better things
A true hero does not bow to lust
‘Tis beyond his lot to sink that low,
The fates do know…
but sometimes they wish that the plot
of doom, despair and true love found would
Vary
a little bit
His chances of survival are like a girl on the lap
Playing dice and rolling 6es all the time
Because fate twisted the toss.
Again. The silly fool thinks luck is with him
But the lady hath her own agenda; mayhap something new?
It would be kismet.
