THE SCARLET CREATION
Such a small thing; small as a fist…
But what guards our body’s and life’s tryst…
Enclosed in a room of flesh and blood…
It’s what protects us
From drowning into oblivion’s mud…
So many emotions, trapped inside
It’s what is,
between hope and despair,
A small, but strong divide.
Full muscles and feelings; not at all hollow…
But it’s what gifts us
The chance to enjoy our life, well and slow…
A blow to our body,
And we just sway…
But a blow to heart,
And our existence trickles away…
Our riches show our monetary health…
But it’s our tiny heart which reflects our true wealth….
These bodies and riches will give way…..
But the vivid outpouring of this scarlet creation…will be here to stay…

"I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities."<br /> --Dr. Seuss
