Some people sing for many to hear.
Not I.
I sing only for mine ear.
Others dance to bangs of a band,
Not I.
I dance by the sea on the sand.
All children race for glory,
Not I,
I race for a good story.
Some people whirl to please the eye.
Not I.
I twirl for the periwinkle sky.
Many people sleep and are awake too soon.
Not I.
I sleep by the clock of the iridescent moon.
Some people live to socialize.
Not I.
I live because time flies.
