How I Weep
I loathe the spiders
that creep behind my eyelids
When the sun disappears
they steal my sleep
They crawl, pierce, and sting
making me unable to see
I can't stop the spiders
from leaving a trail of
spider bites down my cheeks
There is no other way
of describing how I weep
When they tire of torturing me
they look for other little girls
on which to feed
I watch them scuttle, nimble
legs taking them away
just in time to start a new day
And I can feel their spawn
left behind in my skin
Tonight this scene will replay
