The Trail

On the sun-beaten trails
I walk at a pace, slower than a snail's,
Taking in the wonders
Of Earth, before man's plunders.
I see the trees, planted about,
Some tall, others quite stout,
All frozen in a stance
Dancing an unknown dance.
I see the river rushing through
It's waters crisp and clear and blue,
Every drop, knowing where to go,
Its destination? I do not know.
On the sun-beaten trails
I walk at a pace, slower than a snail's
I walk the trails all day, all night,
Taking in, the beauty of life.
