Favorite Quote:
“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Wishes that shift
On tides of sea foam green
Descend on a powderless ground
Like a falling bird
Shapes twirl in merry dances
With dreams
That have featureless forms
Atop a bed of tropical blue
An island
That grows by the minute
In isolation
It broods, forgotten
In a world of watermelon red
All that is lost
And forgotten
