Favorite Quote:
“Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us.”
― Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

The Bald Eagle
The sign of the United States of America
Wings spread in flight
Strength lifts it's beak in defiance
Power like electricity
Courses through it's veins
Pride is a dark cloud
When pushed it rains acid
Upon it's adversaries
A tiger snaps it's angry jaws
Trying to break free
From it's 'proper place'
In it’s heart
A war cry escapes
The eagles parted maw
