I stand firmly to the ground, looking.
I don’t have the intelligence of Einstein or the wisdom of Socrates.
I don’t possess the talents of Chaplin and can’t move like Jackson.
I haven’t got the strength of Hercules.
I hold myself up without a dime in my pocket.
I am the bearer of knowledge- the guardian of life.
I have existed since the start of time but haven’t aged a day.
No swords or knives can penetrate me.
However doubt can destroy me entirely.
I am the reason for the rise and the fall of the Roman Empire.
I whispered into Washington’s ears as he marched to confront the British.
I walked beside Gandhi as he sought great things peacefully.
I have brought injustices upon the world and sparked the light of freedom.
I am the only true collective voice of many.
So I stand firmly to the ground, looking.
I am the change.
