Late for school again

Away with the wind
My paper flows
Dodging trees
And cars

I lost it on
The the way to school
Now I have no work
For class

I decided I would
Much rather face the
Exertion of chasing
My paper

Than face the wrath
Of a detention
From none other
Than my teacher

Or the anger
From my parents
Who are sure
To ground me

S I follow it
On its unpaved path
Across the street
And through the bushes

I finally grab my paper
In triumph
Only to realize
I'm late for school again

To avoid one fate is just asking for a new fate, could be worse, could be better. But hopefully we will learn from our mistakes, unlike the character here
