and it just seems so simple, when
you stare at the empty spaces and think
that maybe it feels cleaner, lighter
without him there
or maybe the flowers can wilt and the
dishes can lay dirty in the sink and she
won’t say a thing
but in the end your heart is a blade and
it always sticks you in the lungs and
suddenly you can’t breathe and the
only thing you want
is for all the things you hated
to come back.
