The pain you felt,
The hurt only you knew.
The time you left
Left me short of breath.
I cry for my loss.
You cry for others.

I pick up the pieces,
Broken and bruised as they are,
To try to fix the broken heart
That God left in your wake.
Until the time
That I see your face,
I will break and bleed.

I wrote this piece for my grandpa when he died. There were a lot of people effected by his death.
