To love and to be loved; to hurt and to be hurt. These are the ideals that make up humanity. ~Me (Lisa)

I watch the door open again,
As another couple walks in,
And I suppress the chills that encase me,
Yes, I think I'm going crazy.

I see her laughing at his jokes,
And I cringe at the fire this stokes,
Because you still make me burn,
Though I know I have missed my turn.

Shouldn't I hate you?
After all the crap you've put me through?
Yet I am still sitting here watching,
As this fever tends to be catching.

I see how wonderful you still are,
And that makes me want you even more,
I know I have lost my chance,
To be a part of your plans.

Even though I hate to be used,
I still will submit to your abuse,
For you are but a misled angel,
At this right and wrong begin to tangle.

So I'll take your fiery kiss,
And I'll pay your high price,
Even though you are devil spawn,
We both know that you have won.

I write because it silences the voices in my head.

I have written several things with a similar theme as this.  I loved the setting, and the feeling... Burn....  Burn, you Devil...  Burn... Then you just give in and accept your loss.  Good imagry and lovely form.  Not many poems flow this way.  I rather liked it.
