You Are Mine and I Love You SO
My heart breaks when I cannot be there to comfort you,
I cry when I am not there to wipe away your tears,
My arms feel empty when you are not close enough for a hug,
Because you are mine and I love you so.
I worry when you will not tell me what is wrong,
My heart feels like an animal has ripped it to shreds,
I get mad when I am not there to read your eyes, the windows to your soul,
Because you are mine and I love you so.
I feel pain when I cannot heal your every wound,
My mouth is full of words, that my brain is trying to sort out,
My firsts curl, when I think of what hurt you,
Because you are mine and I love you so.
Like an animal in a cage, I walk around my room, helpless,
I cannot sleep, knowing that in your own bed you are hurting,
My brain is racing ahead, trying to think of what to do as soon as I see you,
Because you are mine and I love you so.
Unable to get to you I feel helpless,
My eyes fill with tears when I realize there is nothing I can do,
To lesson my pain, I pray for you,
Because you are mine and I love you so
