"It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done, it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known." A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens

Sometimes I think I could touch the sky

If I just jumped high enough

tried hard enough

Or wished loud enough

So I jump

I try

I wish

I do so until I've pushed past my limits

Until rebellious tears run down my face

Until it hurts so bad to try any longer

And I begin to break

Because the odd idea of touching the sky

Somehow transformed along the way

Into a dream, a need

something I had to achieve

And the irony of this fatal situation

Is that in my heart

As I tried

So hard that my molecules trembled

And began to disintegrate

Is that somewhere in my heart

I knew I would fail

For as I jumped and tried and wished

Still I would look down and see my feet

And they would be chained to the ground

An unbreakable bond

And from the start I knew

Even as my need for this began to flourish

That I would fail

I knew that I could not ever touch the sky

When life gives you lemons, make orange juice, and keep the world to wonder how you did it.

Women are like angels. You break our wings... we simply continue to fly... on broomsticks. We're flexible like that (;

Hey! Omg I loved it! Keep it up! Your poem and my poem just came out, like, around the same day! Read it please?
