The Butterfly

Draw a breath,
but only until he takes it away.
A heartbeat quickens.
A winged creature fights its way through my stomach,
to my mouth,
and sits
on my tongue.
And on my tongue,
It stays.
The wings are a brilliant blend of blue and yellow,
it leaves me,
and I
let it go.
