social status
The stand out outcast
is now
the quiet mellow one

Shadows of what used to be
trail beside him
Old happy days
are all too soon

He used to stay up all night
watching the sun
rise up into sight

for the moon

the esophagus of desolation
A single stream of surreal
light encompasses him
