Mirror in Your View
The sky turns grey with the coming storm
Much as my eyes lose their hue
When my soul turns to rain.
Still, my dark eyes
Are the mirrored boundary lines
Changing colors like a raven
In it's hallowed flight.
And even as the flowers
Wither while they grow
The rain is lost to my heart's drought.
When will the sun become
Balanced with the lonely cloud?
It would be good to see the sky's faces again,
And run around with freedom, smiling.
I'm only here for your reflection,
But still it's no excuse to feel this way.
I'm just a mirror in your view.
A puddle underneath the sun.
There is no way to feel less small
When all I notice is you, shining.
Your brightness blocks my view
As I am only a reflection on the water.
