Shadows
Shadows: Dark, treacherous beings. They have an ominous disposition, they scare us. So, we run away from them. We keep running, far, far away, until we reach a secluded place where the sun does not shine. We stay there, because it is safer. Lonely, but safer. We then begin to forget about our shadows, forget that they were even a part of us. A part of us just...vanishes. The one part of us that promises to never leave, that has been with us since we came to life, we just decide to forget. As time passes, we realize how much we want to see the sun again, how important our shadow really is. But we keep lying to ourselves, telling ourselves that it is just better to keep our shadows hidden, so we do. If only we had the courage to step into the light, think about all the beautiful shadows there would be.
