Listen Quietly, See Clearly
I hear the whispers.
I hear the hushed tone.
I hear everything you say about me.
No I don't mind what you think because we all have opinions, but it hurts.
It hurts to know what you think of me.
Maybe I am right, maybe I'm not wanted.
I don't care that you talk about me, but talk in a place where I can't hear you.
I may be blind, but I'm not deaf.
Sometimes you need to hear someone to see who they are.
And oh how I heard you.
Now, I see you crystal clear and I know where I stand.
I see where I stand.
I'm weak from fighting for a better spot on your list.
I can't try anymore.
I've listened and now that I see you, I can't come near you.
Sometimes it's the people closest to you that resent you the most.
Do you resent me or regret me?
Am I really just a frustrating and disappointing you say I am?
Remember, I may be blind, but I'm not deaf, I heard everything, and I see you clearly now.
