I try to tell him
The simple truth which is:
Monsters hide where

You don't expect to see them.
In obvious places:
The zipper of your coat,
Inside your coffee,
Peeking out of the clouds.
But
They hide everywhere.
There is no escaping them
Because there is no predicting
When they will come
Or where they will be.

The psychiatrist
Shakes his head and proffers
some Rorschach cards

The author's comments:
This poem is supposed to shaped vaguely like teeth. For the poem scrap book I'm working on, I printed out this poem, pointed all the edges, colored in a gum and black mouth, and there-- you have a monsters mouth. Of course, I can't submit that to TI, so you'll just have to imagine it. If you don't know what Paredolia, you should google. It's fascinating.

Favorite Quote:
First dentistry was painless.
Then bicycles were chainless,
Carriages were horseless,
And many laws enforceless.

Next cookery was fireless,
Telegraphy was wireless,
Cigars were nicotineless,
And coffee caffeineless.

Soon oranges were seedless,
The putting green was weedless,
The college boy was hatless,
The proper diet fatless.

New motor roads are dustless,
The latest steel is rustless,
Our tennis courts are sodless,
Our new religion — godless.

who says you cant submit that to TI? take a photo or scan it. then submit it in the art section.
