I want to tell you there's more to life
but sometimes you gotta fight.

you gotta give it another try.

For the mother who left her kids,

For the dad who beat his,
this is for you.
For all teachers that quit their jobs,
this is for you.
For all the stereotype snobs,
this is for you.

The world can be a tough place,
but you never want to give up the race.
You gotta get out there, you gotta embrace,
and you gotta forget the past you can't erase.

For all the teenagers that cry at night,
this is for you.
For all the little children that fight,
this is for you.
For all the people that pray 'til forever,
this is for you.
For all the couples that stay together,
this is for you.

Be grateful of what you have,
because your life is not so bad.
Stop always being mad,
be like those old commercials and get glad.

For the people who slit their wrists,

For the person who know they exist,

For the person who contemplates suicide,
this is for you.
For the people who have died,
this is for you.

You have to know about who you are,
because that's how people get so far.
Don't ever turn up in the dark,
always drive; never in park.

For the people who read this poem,

For all the people that know of them,

For all the people who understand,

For those who experience life first-hand,

I guess I could say a little more,
but just never close the door.
