I take the notes
You highlight the answers
I write the books
You make the edits
I sing the song
You write the melody
Time has gone by,
But you
Are still
with me

I stay at home
You go to college
I read a book
You see the movie
I need to have my alone time
But when I'm with you,
Its all I can do, to stop myself
From making you mine

I call a taxi
You take the bus
Carmel ice cream or coffee is good
You say that I cannot live with out you
And I agree
You are for me
What I am for you
When I look in a mirror,
All I see is us two

Time has gone by
Ages have passed
Life has moved on
We never did last
It came like a snowstorm
Unpredictable and cold
And when it all came down
I was the one left out all on my own
