Rummage Reunion
“I miss you and you and you and you”
I search through and through and few remain
Those who do are hesitant. Within their arms I hardly fit
They act as if I they have something I could gain
Questioning me a sycophant, dressed in ego, I say “Strip!
Don’t flatter yourselves!” All I want is a familiar laugh,
From a time I miss, to sit softly and reminisce, wistfully
Recollect, reconnect this cleft, cloven by manmade shaft
Farther eroded by nervousness. On par, pride proves daft
I miss this and that and he and she, I am left half of we
My insides hallowing, no pride swallowing, I unhappily
Do not confess
