A Letter from A Sergeant in Mother Nature's Army
The wind is tearing through houses like an army of ten thousand men
Raindrops hit rooftops like bullets
Trees sway in the distance and homes collapse
Nature is in the defense and we’re ill prepared
The Weatherman calls it sudden, a freak storm
Mother Nature calls it a surprise attack
She’s done with your iPods and your Wi-Fi
You’ve been interrupting her peace for over 1000 years
Silent she sat, going about her daily work
Tending to human needs
Making winters not too cold
And summers not too hot
Mother Nature sat and watched her world be torn apart by humans and her anger boiled
Now she’s pissed and now she’s fighting back
And when Mother Nature fights back,
Need I Remind You,
Nobody Wins
