Devoured
To be set free
From all which is haunting me
 Then I could see
All the world has to offer me

 These demons speak to me
 Whispering falsities in my ears
Soon those falsities don’t seem so wrong
No, they were right all along

 I lose who I am,
 Once again
Those lies are all I can hear
Ringing over and over in my ear

 Darkness casts over my life
Living in the dead of night
My only company is the lies
 Which, consumed my mind

 I was eaten alive
By the demons, and their lies
 That filled my mind
Why’d I let them eat me alive?
