words that are the same
I spend most of my time thinking about the words that
Were left unsaid. The words that no one thought to say and
The words that no one wanted to say. They are all the same - unspoken.

The words that do not tell you that your first heartbreak feels
Like all of your other bones are breaking right along with it or how
You will never fully grow accustomed to the cold that never
Leaves his side of the bed.
The words that are silent when they see the way loneliness wraps
Itself around each and every fiber that makes up your very
Existence or the way that same aching loneliness tightens itsgrip
When it feels like you need another reminder of its presence.

The words that are empty and leave out how to cope with not
Recognizing the reflection of the person that stares back at you and
Forget to mention ways to block out that b**** in your head who
Makes you come to despise every inch of yourself.
The words that are not said when the light no longer shines in our eyes,
When our smile often fades as quickly as it was shown, and when
Detaching yourself from bed becomes a daily struggle.

Out of all of the words that are left unspoken - the worst are
The words that do not reach you and ultimately let you believe that
You will always be just a little bit broken and the words that let you
Think that nothing you do will make you feel whole again.
