Empty.

That’s how you feel.
At a point where nothing even matters yet everything has a meaning.
It eats at you; fills you up.
Consumes you ‘til you’re just a shell of yourself.

You want to release it, but you can’t.
It’s wrong.
Be tough, suck it up.
Training yourself to build a wall that will never be broken down.

Show no emotion.
‘Cept when you’re alone.
Let everything go when there’s only you to see it unfold.
You’re crashing and burning alone in the dark.
No where to let it go, curse at something; blame it all on something other than yourself.

So bottle it up.
Let it build in the darkest corner of your soul.
Let it fester in the center of your heart ‘til all that’s left is a hollow space.
It’s all in your head and your heart
It has become the very thing you survive on.

It will never leave you now.
You've given it a loving home and it has decided to stay.
You get close though.
Something leaves you teetering on the edge of release, but it always pulls you back.
Saves you.

It’s your safe place.
You've come to take solace in it.
Snuggled in its arms when you can’t face the world.
“I’ll never let you go,” it whispers sweetly. “Never.”

rage is a complex emotion. It has many sections, and even when you need to release it, you can't because it is a part of you now.
