That Girl
She looks in the mirror,
sees a girl
with acne scabs and scars,
scratches and ink stains
surround a stomach
that she could never fit
two giant hands around.
They look at her
see that girl
126.7 pounds of muscle,
not an ounce of fat
with perfect hair,
nice boobs
and bright blue eyes.
She sees a girl
not good enough
who weighs too much for her size.
Not smart enough
to be a nerd,
not funny enough
to be popular,
not good enough
at anything
anyone cares about.
They see that girl
with straight A
minuses,
who has made a good joke
a few times,
gotten first place
once,
an ordinary girl
good enough.
She is just a girl
who cannot even make
herself throw up.
She is not pretty enough
to be kissed
but too pretty to admit it.
Loves food too much
and hates herself for it
enough to take a razor to her skin
but too weak to draw blood.
She is just a girl
who tries too hard,
not hard enough,
not good enough,
never enough,
just
that girl.
