Welcome to the 21st Century
where you would think that different people could coexist,
but because of those
(who I honestly hope step on legos for the rest of their lives)
are still around,
coexistence is yet to be achieved

racists,
homophobes,
sexists,
anti feminist

an anon on tumblr who sent me a letter that goes as follows:
Are you a member of the “I need feminism..” hall of fame of mental gymnastics, delusion and downright stupidity? F*** feminists you piss me off to no end. :-)

And my response,
as a now pissed off feminist and decent person was:
Dear Anon,
I hope you enjoy your life
until the very fortunate day
when you have daughters
who wish to go to college,
have jobs,
and earn the same amount of money as men.
These girls will hopfully see past your terrible parenting
and hold feminist ideals.
when you wonder why they hate you
and you never see your grandkids,
remember,
you were the dipshit
who didn't believe your daughters should have the same rights as men.
:-)

Highland Park High School and Middle School
recently got their first Gay Straight Alliances.
My friend and I went to ask the teacher in charge of clubs,
and right of the bat she was ok with it,
I was so surprised,
but I know other people
who aren’t living in environments that are so accepting.
there are people whose cars get vandalized,
people write mean things on their checks,
honestly,
since HP is so christian we were,
and still are expecting major parent and school board opposition.
no one I’ve talked to that's LGBTQIA
feels perfectly safe living their life.
There is a movie coming out called Gay Best Friend
that got an R rating,
as far as we know based on the media,
its because there are gays kissing.
Why is gays kissing R rated material
when straights going a little further is PG 13?

And those people who think that if you're one race,
you must have some certain characteristic,
have a seriously outdated view point and need to read a history book.

Coexistence would be wonderful,
It would be great,
but it would most likely be fake.
all people are entitled to their own ideas,
but when I think of the future,
all I want to see is a country where anyone can get married to anyone
in more states than you can marry your cat.
And same sex couples can adopt,
women have equal rights globally,
racism is dead and
sexists,
homophobes,
anti feminists,
feminists,
feminazis (seriously, feminazis are just crazy)
racists,
and phrases for things like this are retired to text books,
people will not think of color when looking at another,
we will no longer tell children of men coming to save them,
or that girls should wear pink and boys should wear blue,
the more qualified applicant will get the job,
and acceptance will be a given.
