Dysfunctional Support Group
Young adults are depressed.
Trudging through life with sadness in their eyes.
Moms and dads are sick.
The music of life replaced with the beeping of machines.
Children are abused.
Black, blue, and red becoming the colors of their lives.
Aunts and Uncles are bashed.
Skin color, beliefs, and sexual orientation betraying them.
Brothers are hungry.
Stomachs turning to growling, grumbling monsters.
Sisters are homeless.
The cold in the air becoming the walls of their home.
Cousins are broken.
Picking up the pieces of their hearts, hopes, and dreams.
We all have a fall.
That one thing to define the opposite of happiness.
Different flaws.
Living together in one world.
In one support group.
In which we poke fun at others’ problems and hide our own.
One support group.
One horribly dysfunctional Support group.
