Long live the king
Honor sworn, he went to fight
Battle torn, he knows it isn't right
To kill, without reason
Against his will, but to refuse is treason
He sheds innocent blood, and looks away
The dead lye in the mud, horror sewn into their faces
He takes up his sword, once again
Without a word, he leaves his friends
To find the man, who made him a monster
He should've ran, but he had to conquer
The fear, built up inside
The man is near, he pushes fear aside
The sword left his hands, stuck in the crown
Blood soaked the man, and pooled on the ground
And when the guards came, and brought our friend to his knees
He never felt pain, never tried to plead
The king was dead, and his wicked sin
And as our friend bled, body torn from skin
He opened his hand, showing his forsaken wife's ring
Blood poured from his hand and he said, long live the king.
