Thats my game

The distinctive "PING!" as I swing and connect with my target.
The thunderous crack of the smash we all know as a home run.
The ear-piercing whistle as the seams of the softball tear through the air.
The deafening roar as the crowd cheers my name.
As I triumphantly round the bases, the crowd still cheers,
Yet, I hear nothing but the silence of ecstasy
