Difficult Speech
I've spent my time in awkward conversation,
The kind with empty words and hesitation.
Cold eyes darting like vagabonds,
Ever lost in blank, white walls.
Twiddling thumbs, sweaty palms.
Senses acute, stealing glances at the clock.
Focus.
Say something.
Anything.
Make it stop.
Mind rambling unsure.
Desperately yank my collar,
waiting for a break in silence to occur.
Nothing to say, so why do I feel like screaming?
