The Forbidden City
You have already tasted my forbidden fruit
Lost in the garden, moral dilemma:
Are the in-laws ready?
Forbidden love in the Forbidden City
(but this is the stuff of dreams)
If I wander your back alleys,
Will I find Lucifer lurking?
I hide myself away,
All pale cheeks and batting lashes,
Behind a fan
I would be your concubine
If only God would let me.
