A distant city
I look in the distance, the horizon, edge of my view.
When I look I see
The bright lights of a distant city.
They look so far, but are they
Closer than we think?
I think I only long to see the bright lights of that distant city.
Does it look different from up close?
Are people further away from it than me?
I really, really long to see
Th bright lights of a distant city.
The world seems so dark in comparasin, that my only wish
Is to see the bright lights of the distant city.
I look again and I think; is this how the world is meant to be? Staring longingly into the bright lights of a instant city?
