What a unique little treasure, thought death in his den.
I'll name it Time, and make the clock spin.

He started it all, depressed and alone.
Death was excited when rose the headstone.

What a powerful device is a man and his blade.
my what a tragic and beautiful mess I have made.

They cut skin on purpose, so devoid of hope.
Poor children never taught how to cope.

What a unique little treasure, thought death in his den.
hoping the humans would bleed once again.

Gurl, you're making me cry! I can really relate to this. It's nice to know that I'm not alone :)

Depression is like a war, you either win, or die trying.

Thanks! I love to personify Death into a person, because everyone wants a scapegoat, and he seems so perfect for it. XP

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."
Marianne Williamson

This was very intriguing and well written. I really liked the first stanza and the line "I'l name it Time, and make the clock spin." Very clever. Wonderful poem!

Great use of personification throughout this poem! I love how you built Death's character in just a few lines. The poem has a unique haunting feeling to it as well, making it all the more interesting to read. Great job!
