Fears of Forever
My time spent alone,
It isn’t sad or blue.
It is simply time alone,
Although it’s spent with you.
Time is funny in her ways.
And like a god,
You can choose to believe in her mysterious waves.
And I ask myself,
When I’m alone,
If time were alive,
Her birth yet known,
Would she be a friendly one?
I ponder her existence.
Your eyes hold the answer,
Not for the world,
But for me.
As I read into their pools,
I try to decipher time’s purpose,
Before I become time herself.
Love me when I'm with my lonesome self,
Love me when I'm alone,
To save me from falling into time’s captive drone.
