Metal Mouth
I have a metal mouth.
     iron wires line my teeth,
     preventing me from eating sweets.
     decorated with colorful rubber bands,
attempting to hide the hideous metal vines,
     the best they can.
They are meant to help my teeth.
     To make them look pretty.
     That’s why I don’t mind wearing them.
A beautiful smile is worth it.
But it takes extra work caring for them.
